Statement
Hi, I am Mingming, a first year knit student who’s passion for handcraft. As I am a keen gallery-goer, I chose a gallery that I could work with.
I was inspired by the flow of water and the mysterious water symbols written in ancient books that have a powerful relationship with the power of women. For me textiles and women are inextricably linked, so I tried to observe the patterns of water, reflections and ripples in the water, listen to the sound of the water and collect materials available on the river that are closely linked to the water, in order to reflect and create a work that interpret the complementary relationship between textile and women.
